Hey all,

Just getting my home PC prepared to install Linux on it. I've done it once before but had to remove it, because of reasons I won't go into. Anyway, there was one chink in the armor the first time I installed Linux on this PC, I had no hardware modems! Seeing I'm on Dialup... this presented me with a challenge.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good Hardware modem, perferably by a reasonably known brand name? Nothing special just a standard 56K PCI modem, internal. Thanks folks.

US Robotics makes very nice hardware-based PCI modems. That's what I use.

Tagge,

US Robotics model 5610B [from Walmart] works with my dial-up connection.
