Devastation linux client beta1

icculus.org got the first release of devastation up for grabs, might have to buy this tomorrow, just to play under linux.

Odd that icculus is doing the port, from how the web page descibed it I thought that Digitalo would of ported it themselves

Anyone get this to run, did the install on win98se but not much luck running it in either os's. winbloze crashes at the start and in linux gives errors

Edit update: seems win98 got someproblems with install, will try on other box then copy the files to linuxbox and see if I still get the errors come monday 5/5/03 .

UPdate : copyed files from know good install off xp system, installed the 381 linux patch comes in bz file into system and also excuted the cdkey within system file and while still in the dir for /devastation/System/ excuted the file ./devastation-bin game is running.

Add 1 more game to linux that runs good, even though its in its first beta.

Anyone get multi player to work, did you CAP the letters in the cdkey or use lower? I've tryed both and get cdkey already in use or used invalid cdkey.

Has anyone gotten this game yet? I'd like to hear a first hand review of the game. It sounds good, but I don't want to waste my time if it's all eye candy...
