cd-rw reccomendations

I am looking for an external cd-rw that Slackware 8.1 supports. I was wondering if any of you have had any success with Pacific Digital or have any other reccomendations. Thanks for any help.

LG works on all distros that I've tested. Over 2 dozens and counting. Right now I'm using HP.

It's not about the Distro.

CDTools is the application you need.

I use a Yamaha external SCSI cdrw. Works great on an adaptec controller.
