Does anyone know why fonts in linux, even if antialiased, don't look as clean as the fonts in windows?
I even installed windows fonts on linux, still, I can't get the same effect.

it may depend on your montior...

however i dont know, because i think rh6 on a 486 with a 15 in monitor, the fonts look cleaner than a win comp hooked up to the same thing

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure if it's the monitor. I have a 15 inch lcd monitor.

Good fonts in linux can take a bit of work :(

But, it's getting better all the time :)

Ok good, I was already starting to mess with my monitor settings. I thought it was a problem limited to my computer.

Thanks again for all the replies.
