I have a small rant to share. I've noticed from time to time that people will post a question, go back and forth with other people on how to fix it, and then suddenly say something like "I figured it out. Thanks."

I get frustrated when I have a similar problem, read through the entire post trying the same things, and then get to the end without finding the answer, becuase someone didn't share it. It's like reading a novel and finding the last page is torn out.

JustLinux isn't just about getting help, it's about giving it. The more things that are posted that I can try, the less likely I am to have to ask a question that may have been asked a number of times before.

Sorry to rant so much. I hope I don't sound like a big jerk. I'm not intending to pick on anyone in particular. Just trying to make this an even better site. I know I've learn a whole lot in my time here.

It's been said before, it'll be said again. So you only sound like the great big jerk that you mentioned because you're repeating what has been said uncountable times before ;)

You can always reply to that thread, with a simple "How?" post yourself. Actually, I'll do that a lot in threads I track if that happens.

Assuming the original poster is still hanging around, that is...
