Dual Boot?????????

I don't dual boot anymore. My computer is PURE linux. :D No microsoft! What about everyone else?

I dual-booted for about a year, then went back to WinXP totally. Dual booting is so much to think about. I'm waiting on another PC for just linux(no pun intended). WinXP takes care of my gaming and music recording/mastering needs. Linux can do pretty much everything else, but I personally can't spend the time messing with linux and giving my pc a better chance of crashing.

I need Windows for video editing and Webpage editing, installing AMAYA and GINF on my RH9 but still no success, so dual boot is my only option at the moment.

I (grudgingly) dual boot, but only because I have a few apps that are Windows only because the idiots who develop them won't port them. Mostly just for an app I have for school that there's no way in all of heck a Linux port is going to be made of. So, while I'm dual booting, I might as well make Windows useful and slap a couple of games on there too. ;) Actually, I'm kind of triple booting at the moment. Windows, Mandrake 9.1, and Gentoo.

never did never will. the only time I had windows and linux coexisting on my box is when I (briefly) ran NT on VMWare 3 years ago. but then my needs don't include gaming and downloading movies and mp3's...

I don't cause I don't have a win partition on my computer. When I want to use Windows.. I go into my brother's computer :)

I dual boot - for the time being.

I'm getting married this summer, and my fiance has 2000 on his machine. Once we combine households, my machine will be linux-only, while his will stay with Windows.

I finally got rid of my Windows machine today :D . But I still dual boot, so many distro's and only 3 PC's to run em on... I just can't make up my mind, Debian, SuSe, Slack, Mandrake, Red Hat. Choices, choices, choices

I got rid of Windows as a new years resolution... so far its the best thing I ever done!

well i have a clean winxp installation but actually never boot it.
so i cant say i dualboot, cos even removed the lilo entry for it hehe...
but if there is any throuble or something else, i have it somewhere, and it was probably booted only once since the installation hehe...
the main os is slackware 9.0 :)
and i do everything in my aterms.
X is just for wallpaper and mozilla and for the cool aterms :)
(and a hidden gkrellm)
(and fluxbox of course hehe)

confirms what I always thought: it's easier to dump windows than to loose weight, stop drinking or smoking or even lead a healthy lifestyle... :rolleyes: :p

Been single booting Linux for 5 months now after having used the various versions of Windows (95, 98, ME, 2000, XP) for the past 5-6 years before that. Never been happier with the way my systems running and everythings working! :)

Never have done... in fact I've never owned a computer with Windows on it!

Would consider dual-booting with FreeBSD perhaps if I suddenly find myself with lots of free time...

Dual Boot with Windows 2000 and Linux. Still need it to play some games like NWN {the linux version does not work well enough.}
