I'm toying with the idea of trying for the RHCE, however, the price of the pro edition of RH is expensive. On cheapbytes, they advertise a RH "workalike" called Pink tie. Is it virtually the same? Could I order PinkTie and (with a lot of studying) pass the RHCE exam? Thanks

just download the RH isos, or get someone to burn you a copy. You could also just buy a burned copy. A quick google shows RH8 (the 3 binary CDs) at cheaplinux.net for $7.29.

In fact, "pink tie" is just a burned copy of the RH .iso downloads.
They call it "pink tie" because RH started making people not use its trademark (its name) on products that don't come with support (the download editions). But it's all the same software.

I can get you whatever version of Linux you might want/need. If you have one, give me a link to a server with the images you want, and I can burn you the .iso's.
All I ask in return is $2 US per disc, plus shipping. For more information, check out the "Linux CDs" link in my sig.
