quitting without error

whenever i open up my game (Linux Tribes2) i can sometimes get into a game and play around for 15-20 minutes, but sometimes the application closes without giving any error message...sometimes it will lag incredibly just before closing
it doesnt give me an error message or anything it just quits
i ran the game in console and all i get is 'Killed'
any ideas on how to get a log file or something.
