The downloadable manual in HTML format has been all I needed to learn basic PHP. Of course, this is assuming you know some other programming language and basic concepts....

Well, I'm in the middle of learning C++, so I'm still not that familiar w/ it, many more chapters to cover. And I'd also like to start learning php.
As such I still need a book which focuses on the basic and work my way thru the rest of it...
I tried doing some of the tutorials available over the net, but very soon got lost in the process.. :D
