Mysql cant start... Can't start server : Bind on unix socket: Permission denied

This is frustrating me.

Im on slackware 9 and I been trying to get mysql to work.
I already have apache and php running.

030409 20:29:46 Do you already have another mysqld server running on socket: /usr/local/mysql/tmp/mysql.sock ?

I already searched thru www.mysql.com

do not find anything on there.

I been googling all voer and cant find and tried anything...
