i connect Maxtor hard disk 5000 DV ,and red hat found him,the hard disk is fat32 format, i wrot
lsusb
bInterfaceClass 8 Mass Storage
bInterfaceSubClass 6 SCSI
bInterfaceProtocol 80 Bulk (Zip)
iManufacturer 1 Maxtor
iProduct 3 5000DV v01.00.00
iSerial 2 Y40KT7BE
so i make change in fstab, and i make mnt dir
and the was named sda1,because it was defined like a scsi, but when i try to mount i get
[root@localhost root]# mount /dev/sda1
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
or too many mounted file systems
(aren't you trying to mount an extended partition,
instead of some logical partition inside?)

Try

mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt

You might have needed to specify the filesystem type when you mounted it.
