Hi all, yes another problem/question.
I just purchased the radeon 9500 card, and following the instructions I downloaded the correct drivers from ati (before installing new card)
Installed the new card, kudzu came up on boot asking to configure it. red hat saw the card as a 9700 pro (same basic chipset) but wouldn't allow any 3d animation, so the card isn't doing what it's supposed to.
I switched to runlevel 3, and then ran rpm -i (name of rpm downloaded)
it ran, but gave error messages about my kernel not being ?configured? and I have to recompile a kernel. It said something also about how 3d graphics won't be enabled..
I'm not 100% on the above, because it scrolled through faster than I could read what it said. all I caught was 'read readme file'
ok, so where would this readme file be? I have no idea where it installed the drivers.
any suggestions?
thanks.
