I did not think that they existed in Linux, but I think I just stumbled across one. It is hidden in qtconfig under the GUI preview window.

This one's not really an easter egg, but it actually is in the Linux kernel. It's more of a funny message. The "lp0 on fire!" message freaked me out when I was still new to Linux and I got it. Google on it and you'll get some good results. I think it's when you can't contact something on lp0 that it prints that message to the kernel log file.
