HP LaserJet 4L

Does anyone have any experience connecting to a print server? Specifically an HP LaserJet 4L which is connected to an HP JetDirect EX Plus 3. If not, just generally connecting to a print server. I went through the Print howto, but what do I use. CUPS, LPD, PDQ, etc...

Your choice.

In general the jetdirect is going to have an IP address. If using CUPS just point it to that IP address when you get to that part. If you have never set your jetdirect up it will have a default IP. It will be 192.168.0.168 (I think). It has been a long time and I forget what it is. You should be able to telnet to it and make any changes you like. Its pretty straight forward.

Anyway, when in CUPS it will want to know how to connect. There is a drop down that I believe defaults to Socket/HPDirect.
