for all who had hope on freakin dlink, they are liars who are postponing the ineveitable truth, anyways i got this letter when dlink told me to ask TI my question about the "+" series:

Mr. Khan,

Texas Instruments at this time does not have any plans to release a
Linux driver for this chipset or provide the source code so that other may
write drivers. OEM's that manufacture devices based on the ACX100 must
sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) and abide by the terms of this
agreement regarding driver support. TI will continue to monitor
inquiries regarding Linux driver requests for the ACX100 and in the future may
change its stance on driver support

Regards,
TI Technical Support

so, you personally could get the source as long as you signed the nda. then you could make a closed driver. and release that closed driver to the public free (binaries).

As long as they are willing to go that far, then I can't blame them too much. It would be nice if they made binary drivers themselves, then that would be even nicer.
