Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Windows users check mail on linux mail server?
How would I make it to have users be able to check their mail from the mail server. I have one linux box set up as a mail server, it sends and receives mail, but I was wondering if users using Windows boxes could check and use the linux mail services from their boxes.
yes, most windows mail clients can do pop3 or imap.

Inside and outside your network:

Inside your network only:

great general reference site:
http://en.tldp.org/
"Users on your local network should now be able to access their mail using POP3 and IMAP from the Intranet box."
What Windows program would they use to do this?

i've used outlook express with imap. configure it like you'd configure any windows email client. shouldn't be a problem with any email client
Outlook, Outlook Express, Pegasus Mail, Mozilla Mail, Netscape Mail, there are a ton.

Or have them check it via a webmail interface. (ie: squirrelmail )
