Well hey what's up fellow *nixr's? I have been using WinXP, when I suddenly found myself shaking, and eyes glaring at all my linux disks. When I saw an article on slashdot about Redhat 9.0 being released, and available for the public via download with BitTorrent, I was on it like a jackrabbit in heat :D! I burnt the disks quickly, and popped them in... I couldn't wait to see the mongril on my new box I built! I installed it and it auto-magically installed my Nforce 2 boards onboard sound... Simply amazing! Sadly my internet did not work, so I tried the source rpm thing, and got some bogus typical RPM error, so I did it the tarball way. I did a little modprobe action, and rebooted, then I was in the game! Now I am talking to you guys on my spankin-friggin-darn-new Redhat 9.0 box, with friggin-darn internet on my Asus A7N8X's onboard friggin-darn LAN! The new NVIDIA drivers are great, and I am playing my favorite linux game Chromium B.S.U. and surfing the web. It sure feels good to be out of billy-boy's grasp once again. Although I kept my WinXP mainly for officeXP (powerpoint mostly), and for xbox stuff, as I have a modded xbox, and there a lots of programs for xbox made for windows. Well tommorow my goal is to get Day of Defeat installed on my ext3 partition, and try to get the mic working :O). I think I am going to turn my xbox into a small 10 man Day of Defeat Half life Dedicated server. I just flashed to the latest xecuter BIOS the other day... (I have an xecuter 2 pro) I am pretty stoked about coming back to linux. I would really like to turn my xbox into a dedicated server, as that would be just ummm friggin darn sweet. Maybe I will load Ed's Debian Distro on there... In short I'm glad to be back boys :D Hello again :O)
