MySQL server won't start

The MySQL server stopped about a week ago on my web server. I haven't been able to get it started again at all.

Whenever I try to start it it gives the [OK] but then is still not running.

Edit: using RH 7.3

It is technically not my webserver, it is my teacher's at school. I have root privileges in Webmin only for the MySQL server. Other than that I just have normal user privileges

What does the MySQL log say? its usually in /mysql/data/.
