get the new 4349's from nvidia's site, if you got suse8.1 or under get them from suse online.

what is the automatic driver update about? also, any clue on if this version is buggy or slow?

I can't use the update and new features as I had to have suse8.1 update from yast, so untill I get suse8.2 I won't know for sure. Nvidia's trying to get by rpm thing so that it can support thoughs that don't run linux on rpm system like gentoo and others, maybe updates to drivers will be more frequent now.
