Check out "Linux for the rest of us" by Mark Rais. It gives you the basics of Linux installs, accessing windows partitions from Linux, text editing, using basic commands, setting up, maintaining and running a webserver, and some tips on using cgi's. Quite a nifty little piece of work. It's 11$ at Amazon.
