Dear All Who Actually Care,
My dear friend Alfred is having trouble, I tried to install Linux onto his internal workings, but at first he wasn't best to pleased, I found he didn't reall like taking CD-ROMS, so i tried Booting Him from a Floppy which he seemed to enjoy more, sadly several dsitros didn't like the idea of having there discs being inserted into Alfred, but I found a old Distro Suse 7.1 and it didn't seem to mind, at first. I got him split up into partitions automaticly which was nice. I got a nice install done ( left horrible scaring on Albert ).
I then install the 2.4 for kernel, by this time Albert has become use to, if not happy with the scaring and internal abuse which I have thrown at him. The comes along Lilo, which seems to make Albert wake up. I try to install Lilo and it lets me pick Boot Linux from the MBR ( or FD /boot or /root partions ) using /boot/vmlinux.
I name it Linux and press continue, it then runs and gives me ERRORS EVERYTIME EVERYTIME SO I CANT ACTUALLY GET INTO LINUX AND OPEN ALBERT UP TO USE. If some one could help please respond.
PS. Albert is my P 133Mhz Computer with 30mb RAM and a IG hard disk. I am using Suse 7.1 booted from floppy and installing in text mode.
Yours Thankfully in a cave waiting
