How would you setup your wireless pc card when your in a hotel that is wireless?



I just a newbie with wireless?:confused: :rolleyes:

I've heard that Borders book stores have wireless LANs set up. I think it's cool and that pretty much every building should have a wirless LAN setup. (Yes, even outhouses, for those trips. ;))

As far as setting them up, though, I think bwkaz is off to a good start... You could just try goofing around with your settings a bit and try to keep them as automatic/default (like DHCP etc.) as possible(?). Just a guess. If that doesn't then you'll have to ask someone how to do it.

You'll need to get the info from the front desk if they have it.

You'll probally need to get the SID, Channel, and any encryption keys that they use...

Unless you have AirSnort working well with your card ;)
