I have 2 - 80 gig drives.

#1 has Windows 98SE installed

#2 has SUSE installed. Yes, I know I could repartition this one, and probably will... If the solution is to do that, it's not a problem.

Unfortunately, I cannot have both of them hooked up at once.... the machine just doesn't want to boot...

I had disconnnected the #1 drive when I installed SUSE. I was worried about screwing something up on it during the install. I thought I could just plug it back in after I was done...... oops.... no go.

Now what do I do? I don't want to reinstall Windows and everthing else..... I seem so close.....

I do not know Linux yet, so you have to talk DOS or Windows to me for now.... ;)

Thanks in advance.

try putting the linux one of the second ide channel. I had this problem a while back but it was a third hard-drive and it was only a 700mb drive, so i gave up on it.

But try switching aroudn the order, and look into setting the jumpers on the hard-drives.
