I have heard tons about Debian and finally decided to give it a shot.

I downloaded the network install CD and everything worked fine except it doesn't pick up my network card automatically. A little research shows I need to install tulip, so I go to that section of the install and try install that module in the kernel.

It says "Device or resource busy" followed by something about it could be an IRQ conflict and ends with insmod tulip failed.

I've searched for this, but nothing addresses this specifically. I'm not sure if I can use any of the advice I've found in an install situation...

It's a DLink DFE network card that's worked well with Mandrake and SUSE. I am trying to install the basic woody installation because as I understand it you can't install right to testing.
