One P133 a lack of booting from a Cd-Rom..

Ok, i got a random P133, it cant boot from Cd-rom, I tryed to install my Suse 7.1 using discs and cd's but its old and crap so didn't work. SO i need some one to point me in the direction of a small like FD linux distro that actually installs on the HD so i can build from that. Or Failing that, a boot disc for mandrake 8.2 ?

Most distros should include bootdisk images on their installation cd or else you can download the same from their ftp servers.

Visit one of Mandrake's ftp mirror sites and have a look around for the bootdisk (floppy) images and instructions.

look for a file on the cd called sbm (simple boot manager) and use rawrite on it (if in windows), you will need a floppy disk for it. Your computer should be able to boot to a floppy then when that boots you can select cdrom and boot from the cd that way.
