my system is redhat7.3 and i want to install scim so that so that i can use chinese input .
but when i executed the install command it display flowing :
libc.so.6_(GLIBC_2.3) is needed by scim-0.3.1-1rh8
libgcc_s.so.1 is needed by scim-0.3.1-1rh8
libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.0) is needed by scim-0.3.1-1rh8
libstdc++.so.5 is needed by scim-0.3.1-1rh8
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2) is needed by scim-0.3.1-1rh8
Is there any have met the same problem with mine .
Please give me a advice .

Do a full install of Linux or compile the source code yourself.

It looks like to my untrained never before run red hat eye that those are dependency issues. You can go out to rpmfind and search for those files and install them. It might be easier to try and install an older version of scim, since you are running a slightly older version of redhat.

but I don't know nothin - so listen to me at your own risk!
