The Sims - expansion packs

Does anyone know if the expansion packs for The SIms work with the Linux version of the game?

for example, could I buy Livin' Large and install it?

No, Transgaming had to make a lot of changes to the game code for it to work...breaking any chance of the expansions to work without the same work being done on them.

There has been many polls at Transgaming about them doing the expansions also, but they seem to either be voted down or ignored...

I just ordered The Sims for Linux and should be getting it soon. I would like to see the expansions for the Linux version also...at least Hot Date, that was my favorate ;)

Last I hear though, the latest glibc update broke a lot of the Wine projects, including The Sims (which uses a majorly tweaked version of Wine). I'm waiting to see what Transgaming does about that...
