Creating a link that opens text file in favorite editor on KDE task bar??

I can drag and drop a file from Konqueror to the Desktop such that when I click on the resulting link, the file opens in my favorite editor.

But how do I create such a link on the bottom task bar in KDE?

Dragging either the desktop link to the task bar or dragging the file to the task bar from Konqueror doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

I've read through the relevant documentation in the KDE handbook and still don't understand how to do this.
