Red Hat 8 Install Hangs

When I try to install RH 8 from the cd-rom it gets as far as the monitor probe and hangs. I have rebooted a number of time and used the commands from the help files, like lowres, noprobe, ect, but it still will not install. I am trying to insatll it on a Compaq Proliant 1850R if that helps.

There have been a lot of Redhat 8.0 installation-related discussions here lately; try using the Forum Search button at the top of the page to review these pasts posts. You could very well find the answer there; at the very least you'll find many suggestions to try.

Install problems can range from BIOS-related issues to defective install disks or incompatible hardware. Posting your full systems specs might help us spot something.
