I would like to know if it is possible to have a program (such, but not only, KDE, XROAST, OppenOffice) working in two different distributions of LINUX, but with only one instalation?

Is it too difficult to install programs from the .tar.gz packages?

Thanks

Try installing on a common partition or see if you can mount each others partition and run a app.

You may need to add the other distros main paths (echo $PATH on each) for each of them.
