How does one go about making Fluxbox the default wm in RH8? I know how to do it with KDE, but /etc/X11/xinit/Xclients has no entry for fluxbox. Any input would be appreciated.

Doing it with KDE is easy, there's a config file you have to edit (can't remember it off the top of my head) but the shell script that uses that config file doesn't recognize flux as a valid parameter. z0mbix, I've already read that link. Used it, now I can run Flux if I remember to click on the "sessions" menu. I rarely do. I installed it last night and it seems to work well, but it seems that alot of folks really like it. Do you have any problems using Fluxbox under RH 8.0? plattypus1 03-16-2003, 03:23 AM I have no problems with Flux in RH 8, or in my newly-fixed Slack install. I like it a lot, and when I get a hard drive for my laptop I will be installing it when I install delilinux (slack-based distro, only 300MB for full install). It's light (I noticed the speed bost from GNOME nearly instantaneously), powerful, highly configureable (and the config files are simple to figure out and edit), and really intuitive to use, once you get used to the lack of a start menu-like button. Try it, if you don't like it you can always dump it later. justlinux.com
