My internet provider has blocked *every* freakin' port in existance as far as incoming to my box.
I've been trying to come up with ways to get around this. Hear me out:
My goal is to be able to VNC in. I can definitely telnet/ssh/http/ssl/etc outbound. So is it possible to somehow set up two redirectors: one on my home computer and one on an external computer.. so.. theoretically...
If, before I leave for work, I connect from SSH to my external box. Locate that port (say it's 47001). I start a redirector from port 47001 to port 1500 (1500 is where VNC is listening), and then when I get to work, I point VNC to my external box where I have a redirector sending data back down the pipe on port 47001 to my home box...
This specific example might not be valid, but has anyone come up with any solutions like it?
