A client of mine wants to start hosting his own email. (his ip is, for the sake of argument, 211.14.31.192)
Could I just change the DNS record (BIND) to look like this?
clienturl.com IN A 64.12.11.92
mail.clienturl.com IN CNAME clienturl.com.
clienturl.com IN MX 10 211.14.31.192.
clienturl.com IN MX 20 mail.clienturl.com.
I know that DNS is picky about where IP addresses appear, so I'm not sure if this will work or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
