I have just aquired an old 6100/60 and would like to install linux. Problem is I don' t even have a workable mac OS which I understand is required before I can even contemplate loading Linux.
I have managed to create a mac boot disk that works and have been able to download an OS 7.5.3 onto my PC. 19 floppies worth  Is there any way now of copying those files onto the unnetworked mac HD? Is there a Linux or windows app that will allow me to write these files onto a floppy that the ppc can read and copy?
Thanks.

For anyone else who might be interested. From the dest of 'there's gotta be a better way: I found a dos app called mac-ette that allows you to format and copy mac files onto a floppy in macbinary format. They can then be read on a mac system. 19 floppies later I have a working box with 7.5.3 installed. Now for Yellowdog!
