Heck yes, right now I have Yellow Dog Linux (http://www.yellowdoglinux.com) running on my 233 mhz 3 gig iBook. You can buy yellow dog (recommended) from that site, which would come with extra goodies, but if you have a cd-burner, you should just download the regular version (without goodies) from this site. (http://www.linuxiso.org) Also, you can buy a regular version from tux cd's (http://www.tuxcds.com) , which is what I got.
Good Luck!

There are many distros you may want to consider.
Please shop around. Also, it is not necessary to purchase Linux distros, that includes YellowdogLinux.
Here is one of many web sites with information that you may need on the subject;-

YDL 2.3 is the latest.
There are many mirror sites with ISO images. They are usually much quicker. YDL web site provides a list of mirror sites.
After installing YDL 2.3, update whatever they may have available.
