If i have to add a string to any file, you'll have to explain what commands to use to add the string.

well, firstly, what are you trying to run, (or compile???)

And, do the two files, /etc/smb.conf and /etc/smb.conf-run exist?

were you root at the time of doing what ever you were doing?
