Ok - lolol - Here it is, im trying to drop MS totally..
but I'm having alot of problems so lets start with the big one first..

I have built a data base using MS Office -Access - Exel - word - runing Forms - Layouts - Queries - Calculation - Fields - Scripts - Buttons - With Browser,Layout,Find,Preview Modes. I have pick up Staroffice 6.0 now after reading this book for 1hr it is not at all like MS office, set up looks to be a real *****!! to get this to run as a database using adabas..

Does any one no of a better way to do this and link to staroffice for this would save alot of time being that my customer base is in exel and word? also how would I get started with it?

AFAIK, there is no mapping from MS-Office to OOfice as complete as you would like it. There is certainly no GUI mapping. So, I guess you will either have to stay tied to MS Office, or learn to use the O-Office tools.

Not a task I relish, either. :(

Don't know if this will help, but I have successfully setup ODBC from http://www.linuxworld.com/2003/0207.barr.html and the links provided on the same page.
