no, its optional. my copy of pheonix shows nothing there. nor does ie or opera on windows.

It is not LINUX doing that, but the vBulletin software and of course it is a option as 'sharth' already pointed out.

How would vBulletin know what you want to include as the subject when replying to a thread?
