Hey all. Sort of a new mood around here, isn't there... Sort of, well, a boring mood. Seems like it should be renamed from "off-topic" to "on-topic". But it's not my site, I'm just a visitor, and we all know that they don't really matter. <end wild hair> OK, back OT. Can anyone recommend a few good news servers and groups that I can read with my Linux newsreader? I am looking for a good Apache, web devel, and system admnistrations gruops.
Also, this is really quite an embarrassing set of questions, but I havent been able to solve them and it's time to take a hit to the prode and get some answers:
a. How can I get rid of the "quick launch" area of the KDE start menu that list your most frequently used apps?
b:How can I change my default browser to be netscape instead of Konqueror?
c.Last but not least, are any of you web developers using Linux to develop? If so, how? I can't find suitable tools for this. They are all worthy efforts, and are decent enough, but I really want to find something very similar to Macromedia Homesite (wonder if this might be a job for WINE) and maybe a simpler image editor (that supports transparency) to do image maps and general resizing, touch up, cropping, etc...
Thanks, Bryan
P.S. Anyone seen w.bishop, or saskuatch? If you guys read this drop me a PM. Late.
