Has anyone encountered this specific error when trying to execute vmware?

I already ran the config wizard, which supposedly updated vmware-config.pl.

Have you manually run vmware-config.pl ?

cd /path/to/vmware-config.pl/location

./vmware-config.pl

Follow the instructions and you must have your kernel source installed for you current running kernel version.
