I'm a linux newbie and I want to setup a dual boot between RedHat Linux 8 on IDE secondary master and Windows XP that is on a fasttrack100 raid 0.

How can I add the fasttrack 100 array to Grub ?

Please let me know the best way to make it work.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Redhat is already installed on the motherboard IDE channel and only XP is on the Fastrak?

Check to see if you have the required modules loaded.

lsmod (list loaded modules)

You should have

pdcraid
ataraid

http://www.murty.net/ataraid/ is very helpful.

XP is already installed on fasttrack and a 4GB drive is waiting for redhat on secondary master.

I checked the ataraid page, it's an awesome page for people that want linux on the raid array, but not so useful for who wants Linux to recognize XP installed on the array to create the dual boot.

redhat installer recognizes the drives on the promise raid connectors as separate HDs, not as an array with XP installed.
