gentoo linux 1.2 install

i have emerged the kde destop and the default ftp site fails to resolve the server for the remaining files. tells me "logging in anonymous ... failed to resolve server". i do not want to exit cause i am not sure if it will hav eto go through the whole emerge process again (5 hours). is there a way to add another server, even if it is slower, by editing a file somehere? please let me know if you can. i am almost there!
oh... how do you exit from the vim editer? it is different than others i've used; more programmer-like console.

You can specify GENTOO_MIRRORS="your mirror here" in your /etc/make.conf.

When emerging after being stopped, the last package that didn't get compiled will be the starting point.

thanks. i figured it out. i guess the mirror i was using at georgia tech was just timing out so i updated my list to a few more. thanks for your help.
