I have a comp that just stands and collect dust and i decised to install linux on it. I like slackware, but i canīt start the install program cuz here are my specs:
486 66MHz
8MB RAM (Heres the problem)
190MB HD (Or, 1 = 118MB,2=80MB)

When it says:
"VFS: Insert root floppy disk to be loaded into RAM disk and press ENTER"

I insert the root floppy (lowmem.i) and presses ENTER

"RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0"

After a while i dont have it infront of me but it says something like this:
"Kernel Panic: not enough memory"

What to do?

PLZ help me

Get more memory...

Or try a older version of Slack or an entirely different distro that will install and run on those specs.
