A generous Mac user (Mac users usually are ;)) has just informed me that she will donate a LaserWriter 4/600 PS.
I never use printers privately, nor for my work. So, I haven't printed anything in almost four years! Yes, I am printerless -- I am becoming anti hardcopy.
Anyway, I know that the particular printer utilises AppleTalk. I am planning to connect it to my 7500, which runs YDL 2.3, and 7500 only. I will be connecting it to either printer, or modem port.
Could anyone please advise me on installing this hardcopy generating beast? I have no idea where to begin.
Must I use CUPS, which I have never used?
I have searched (I usually do, prior to posting), but no beacon guide me...
Please help me through this dilemma.
