i just purchased a web page and i have no idea how to go about setting it up with apache on my linux box. This is my first time doing this and i cant seem to find anything on the boards about the first steps. i would appreciate it very much if one of you could help me out. thank you..........Lou:confused:

You "purchased" a webpage?

Why did you buy a webpage?

Are you sure that you didn't mean that you bought a "domain"?

If this is the case then there's usually a 24hr. or so delay before you can actually use it. You'll get a couple emails from people about this. Keep a close eye out for them...

i bought the domain.....www.pyriel.net. i have a linux web server at my house that is running mandrake 8.0(i think....might be later version)......is there anything else you need to know to help me out. thank you for all the help you have providied me with.

i was wondering if it is possible to set up my own email using the domain. i apologize for my ignorace. i am very new to this linux world, but what i have seen of it. when i finally learn it i will throw my win box out.
