I Support it as well. I like a few (yes few) people see the business side of open source software. Red Hat's decision makes sense, if you consider the adoption rate and upgrade cycle of their products.

I don't blame them at all. With the pace of change in the Linux world, and with updates freely available, there's very little reason not to be on the latest versions.
My only question would be: would they support apps that you've upgrade since you installed, say, RedHat 8.0, or will they become one of the 'reinstall first' support teams (I sincerely hope not)?
I think that makes a lot of sense. I mean as long as there is no price tag on upgrading, whats wrong with it. You can still update packages by yourself if needed.

Don't know, but I just started playing with 8.1 and it is by far the best version yet. Almost makes me think that the dying time for microsoft can't be far away. Especially when they start putting out workstation distros starting in March.

I agree with RH..........it makes sense with the rate of new products. Plus i think their advanced server is getting a much longer life-cycle ;)
You can't fault them really......they've become a big business whilst still firmly believing in giving Linux away freely
