I was checking out some GNU/Linux related articles at TechTV.com (I didn't mean to go there, I clicked a link to a news story somewhere...)
Anyway, I looked through the search results and somehow ended up reading this (http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/supergeek/story/0,24330,3413988,00.html) little piece.
After reading it I looked at the guy's goals again and laughed till I stopped.
Build a single computer that runs Jaguar and XP natively with one keyboard, one mouse, and one monitor.
Read the article and tell me what you think. Maybe this guy should look up natively in a tech dictionary.

I am wondering if you read the article... There will be 2 computers inside one box. One G4 and one PC. Why can't this box run jaguar and winxp natively? (or even linux...). Whats so funny about that?

His goal was to create a system that would run both OSes natively. Funny how the article tells simply how to fit two separate computers inside a single housing.
In fact the only real goal he accomplished was the PIP setup. Hell even the one keyboard/mouse/monitor setup is nothing new and didn't required sticking everything into a single housing. What really was the point of putting them both inside the same case other than to simply save space?
Hell the 2 OSes don't and can't (without additional steps) communicate with each other or share resources.

His grammar is not that great either for publishing material:
"and two mouses"
:D

Is the plural for standard computer pointers "mice"?

Probably. The thing that real gets me is the plural for virus. I always thought it was virii but some people say the correct term is viruses while others say both are right.

Personally I think using a kvm switch to switch between two computers in one case is a neat idea, and the Mac/xp PIP is pretty cool.
BTW, it is viruses. Look it up in a dictionary and you'll find 'virii' is not an acceptable plural of virus. The term 'virii' is used mostly by 1337 13 year old hax0r5.

That was probably by the same guy who built his own Mac.

It is, so what?
Anyway I re-read the article and found this to be extremely funny.
GOAL:
Build a single computer that runs Jaguar and XP natively with one keyboard, one mouse, and one monitor.
PC guts -- For size considerations, I decided to go with the LPC-301 Small FootPrint Powerful Little PC ($895), a powerful, miniature PC that fits into a tiny 5 1/4-inch drive bay. I went with the Pentium III 1.2-GHz model with FireWire, USB, DVD player -- the whole works. It runs Linux!
SO WHAT!?! Isn't the goal to run OS X and XP? So what was the point of mentioning it runs GNU/Linux? And if it runs GNU/Linux why do all of your screenshots of the finished product show it running XP?
Dumb...

I believe "Funk and Wagnalls" defines that as "Caboosii". (it's true)

I believe "Funk and Wagnalls" defines that as "Caboosii". (it's true) Maybe, but the New Hacker's Dictionary has this to say: the TMRC Dictionary includes an entry which implies that the plural of `mouse' is meeces, and notes that the defined plural of `caboose' is `cabeese'.
So I was pretty close.
:p
<edit>
I do, however, believe that the proper pluralization of "Wombat" is "Wombii".
