box: as root, "adduser <user>", and then move/copy all the files from /home/old.user to /home/new.user

Prior to the major vBulletin upgrade back in June/July last year, the members could change their displayed name themselves. I have yet to find how to do so via the user options/profile.

Perhaps Cheeky contacted the admins and requested the name change.

However I wouldn't advise everyone to start asking the administrators unless you actually have a problem with your account.

You could just ask the admin to remove your account and start another one with a new name.

Great idea... I may just do that. ;)

Since I`m_newbie only has around 30 posts, it may be easier to just create a new account instead of asking the admins to change the displayed name.

People that want to post stupid Sh*T and makes I huge post of smilies then call people names and stuff...

Those people can take the time to fill out the fourm.

As for one timers I would make a time limit on the account say 1year with no new posts.
