My Question seems simple to even me, Although i don't know just how simple the answer is.. but here goes.
I'm running Mdk 8.2.. all is well. it works just wonderful.. i'm running it on my internet gateway (unfortunately 56gay as it's the only thing available, but my internet connection hasn't been lost in just over 3 weeks now!)
anyways.
I want to set up an internet site off of that machine. I have Apache 1.3.23 running just fine, and the default page ( the one apache automatically posts i guess) works perfectly, and can be connected to by both WAN and LAN requests.
My question is this:
How do i take the HTML site i have built (assuming i have built it)
and implement it, so when i type in the IP address (or the extension to it, whatever is necessary) my page comes up?
am i asking too simple a question? Please help. i know someone knows.

Your HTML pages need to be put into the Apache /www folder (that's where you'll find the default page). I don't think all distros put it in the same spot.

Yeah Thanks... Now all i need to do is actually MAKE the page. you've been a great help.
Now.. is there a way i can set like a hostname so that i don't need the IP address to go to the page? just cause i'm on 56gay and i'm afraid it might drop and change IP addresses when i really need it.
