I'm kinda miss the old animated icons. How can I revive them?

konqueror crashes every 10 minutes for me. i dont use kde as a desktop envirioment but i do use konqueror quite a bit for file maaging. i've had nothing but problems since i upgraded.

Argh, I should've asked before upgrading. Anyway, it have been 2 hours, and konq has not crash yet. And I also have mozilla installed.

Well; I've been using KDE 3.1 for some days now - and I still haven't met any problems at all.
In earlier versions of KDE 3 I've been having some problems with a crashing konqueror 'though,
but those bugs seems to have been fixed in this version.

kde 3.1 sucks! ?????

Just because you obviously did not install and CONFIGURE KDE 3.1 correctly, why does it 'suck'?

Why not complain to the KDE development team and tell them what a KDE expert you are and they must have done something wrong to cause all the problems you are having.

BTW... Mine runs great and I compiled from source.

i dont have any expertise but sure isnt stable for me. i didnt do any configuration, i just emerged it.

I currently have Mandrake 9.0 and run KDE 3.0. I keep hearing good things about KDE3.1 and would like to try and install it, however I don't know where to begin. Could someone possibly spell out the steps I should take including dependencies I should download, ie I know I have to get Qt 3.1, but I've looked and Mandrake 9.0 already comes with libqt 3.0. Do I uninstall that first or what...... (see how confused I probably am :D )

Anyway, Im not an idiot... Im just not sure where to start and thought someone could give me some insight.
